General Knowledge

Topic: Five Countries

Cuba:

· Cuba is a country of several islands in Atlantic Ocean (South of USA) with an area of 109884 Km² and Population of 1200000 approx. It is most populated country in Caribbean

· It declared independence from Spain in October 1868 and Cubans fought war of independence in 1895. At last Spain handed Cuba over US in 1898. Cuba got independence from USA in 1902. Cuban revolution spans from 1953-59. Currently Cuba is a socialist republic.

· Havana is the capital of Cuba while Peso is its currency. Spanish is its official language

· DI and G2 is intelligence agency of Cuba. Fidel Castro and Gorilla Leader El Che Guevara brought revolution in Cuba. Fidel Castro died in 2016

· Miguel Diaz Canel is current President of Cuba. Cuba is famous for tourism.

Cyprus:

· Cyprus is an island country in Mediterranean Sea near Turkey with an area of 9251 Km² with a population of Twelve lacs approx.

· It got independence from United Kingdom in August 1960

· It became part of EU in 2004 and currency is Euro. Nicosia is capital of Cyprus. President is Nicos Anastasiads

· Official languages are Greece and Turkish

· Turkish forces invaded in 1974 to stop Greeks. Greeks were trying its union with Greece

· CIS,KYP is intelligence agency of Cyprus while CNA is news agency of Cyprus

Denmark:

· The Kingdom of Denmark is a Kingdom in Scandinavian Country (Countries in Northern Europe including Sweden, Denmark and Norway)

· Denmark has an area of 42933 Km² while Kingdom of Denmark has an area of 2220930Km². It has a population of 6000000 approx.

· Greenland the largest island in the world. It is a part of Kingdom of Denmark

· Folketing is the parliament of Denmark while Margrethe II is Queen of Denmark. Mette Frediriksen is Prime Minister of Denmark

· Danish is its official language. Copenhegan is its capital

· Danish Krone is its official Currency

· Kingdom of Denmark contains Denmark, Faroe Island, Greenland and almost 450 islands. But only 76 islands are inhabited

· Denmark is among the top countries in literacy rate and highest per capita. It is one of the most happiest country in the world

· The oldest flag of the world is Danish flag

· Ritzau is its news agency while PET is its intelligence agency

Djibouti:

· Djibouti is a Muslim Country in Eastern Africa with an area of 23200Km² and Population of 922000 approx.

· It got independence from France in 1970. Its former name was French Somaliland

· Official languages are French and Arabic. Capital name is Djibouti. Official currency is Djiboutian Franc

· Bab-el-Mandab is a strait which separates Djibouti from Yemen

· President of Djibouti is Ismail Omer Guelleh

Dominican Republic:

· Dominican Republic is a country in Caribbean Sea in the East of Haiti. It has an area of 48671 Km² and Population of 10900000 approx.

· Santo Domingo is its capital. Peso is official currency. Spanish is its official language.

· Danilo Medina is its president

روپے پیسے کی کمی کی وجہ سے وہ اپنی تعلیم جاری نہ رکھ سکی۔

15. Will he not deceive you in the time of need?کیا وہ وقت پر تمہیں دھوکہ نہ دے گا؟

16. In spite of illness, he comes in time daily.بیماری کے باوجود وہ ہر روز وقت پر آتا ہے

17. You should act upon according advice.تمہیں میری نصیحت کے مطابق عمل کرنا چاہیے

18. Some boys climbed up the trees for fear of the lion.

بعض لڑکے شیر کے خوف سے درختوں پر چڑھ گئے۔
