Exercise 1
1. The teacher asked the boys, “Why are you making a noise?”
Indirect: The teacher asked the boys why they were making a noise.
2. He asked me, “Will you participate in the invitation?”
Indirect: He asked me if I would participate in the invitation.
3. Madiha said to Sana, “Where should I go now?”
Indirect: Madiha asked Sana where she should go then.
4. Aslam said to Naeem, “What are you doing here?”
Indirect: Aslam asked Naeem that what he was doing there.
5. The teacher said to the pupil, “Why do you come late every day?”
Indirect: The teacher asked the pupil that why he came late every day.
6. I said to my friend, “How are you?”
Indirect: I asked my friend that how he was.
7. The teacher said to the boys, “Which is the boy who has not yet paid the fee?”
Indirect: The teacher asked the boys which was the who had not yet paid the fee.
8. The woman asked the boy, “Why do you weep? Has somebody beaten you?”
Indirect: The woman asked the boy why he wept and further asked whether somebody had beaten him.
9. The teacher said in anger, “Majeed, why do you not pay attention to your lesson?”
Indirect: The teacher asked Majeed in anger why he did not pay attention to your lesson.
10. My friend said, “When have you come back?”
Indirect: My friend asked when I had come back.
11. The stranger asked the station master, “When will the next train arrive?”
Indirect: The stranger asked the station master when the next train would arrive.
12. I asked the peon “Is the headmaster present in the office?”
Indirect: I asked the peon if the headmaster was present in the office.
13. The master said to the servant, “Did you go to the station on a tonga?”
Indirect: The master asked the servant that if he had gone to the station on a tonga.
14. I asked my brother, “Will your school remain close tomorrow?”
Indirect: I asked my brother if his school would remain close the next day.
15. I asked him, “Have you taken the dose of medicine?”
Indirect: I asked him if he had taken the dose of medicine.
16. He asked Hina, “Will you go to school on foot?”
Indirect: He asked Hina if she would go to school on foot.
17. His father asked him, “Do you not feel ashamed of what you have done?”
Indirect: His father asked him if he did not feel ashamed of what he had done.
18. My mother said to me, “Will you act upon my advice?”
Indirect: My mother asked me if I would act upon her advice.
19. I said to Naeem, “I s it raining outside?”
Indirect: I asked Naeem if it was raining outside.
20. My aunt asked me, “Did you forget to wind the watch?”
Indirect: My aunt asked me if I had forgotten to wind the watch.
Exercise 2
1. The teacher said to the boy, “Get out of the room at once.”
Indirect: The teacher ordered the boy to get out of the room at once.
2. The master said to the servant, “Hang this coat on the peg.”
Indirect: The master ordered the servant to hang that coat on the peg.
3. I said to my servant, “Put all these clothes in the sun.”
Indirect: I ordered my servant to put all those clothes in the sun.
4. He said to his servant, “Blow out the candle.”
Indirect: He ordered his servant to blow out the candle.
5. The teacher said to the boys, “Do not shirk work.”
Indirect: The teacher forbade the boys to shirk work.
6. The headmaster said to the boys, “Do not walk in the corridors.”
Indirect: The headmaster forbade the boys to walk in the corridors.
7. The beggar said to the rich man, “Please give me something to eat.”
Indirect: The beggar requested the rich man to give him something to eat.
8. The doctor said to the patient, “Do not eat stale bread.”
Indirect: The doctor advised the patient not to eat stale bread.
9. My father said to me, “Take exercise in the open air.”
Indirect: My father advised me to take exercise in the open air.
10. Father said to his son, “May you live long!”
Indirect: Father prayed that his son might live long.
11. My friend said, “May Allah fulfil your desire!”
Indirect: My friend prayed that Allah might fulfil my desire.
12. That boy said, “Would that I were rich!”
Indirect: That boy wished he had been rich.
13. He said, “May we win the match.”
Indirect: He prayed that they might win the match.
14. The boy said, “Hurrah! We succeeded.”
Indirect: The boy exclaimed with joy that they had succeeded.
15. He said, “What a fine weather!”
Indirect: He exclaimed with wonder that it was a very fine weather.
16. The old man shouted, “Alas! My only son is ill and there is nobody at home to fetch his medicine.”
Indirect: The old man exclaimed with sorrow that his only son was ill and there was nobody at home to fetch his medicine.
17. He said, “How kind you are!”
Indirect: He exclaimed with appreciation that I had been very kind.
18. The beggar said, “May you roll in wealth!”
 Indirect: The beggar prayed that I might roll in wealth.
19. I said, “Let us enjoy the picnic today.”
Indirect: I suggested that we should enjoy the picnic that day.
20. He said, “Let us play the harmonium.”
Indirect: He suggested that they should play the harmonium.  
21. Saeed said, “Let us go to the cinema.”
Indirect: Saeed suggested that they should go to the cinema.

France:
·        France is a European Country bordered by Monaco, Atlantic Ocean, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Luxemburg  and Spain. It shares maritime border with UK. It has an area of approximately 640000 square Km and population of 67000000 approx.
·        Former name of France was Gaul when it was under Roman Empire. Then it became under The Franks.
·        Euro and Franc are official currencies of France. Paris (The most beautiful capital of the world) is the capital of France. French is official language
·        France includes more than 12 Cadastres (lands claimed by France outside the Europe).
·        Emanuel Macron is current President of France. France has veto power. France was captured by German in World War II
·        Famous Conqueror Napoleon Bonaparte belonged to France
·        DGSE is secret agency of France. AFP is news agency of France
·        UK and France are separated by English Channel or Strait of Dover.
·        UK and France have fought longest battle in the history of the world that started from 1338 and Ended in 1453 which is also called Hundred Years War
·        Corsica is an island in Mediterranean Sea which is part of France
·        Louvre Museum is in Paris, France. Paris is located at the bank of Rhine River. Former name of Paris was Lutetia
·        Eiffel Tower (Height 324m) is in Paris which was designed by Gustave Eiffel (in 1889). He also designed statue of Liberty.
·        Mont Blanc highest mountain in Europe having height 4810 m.  
Finland:
·        Finland is a country in Northern Europe with an area of 338424 square km and Population of 5500000 approx.
·        Helsinki is the capital of Finland while Finnish and Swedish are its official languages. Euro is its currency.
·        It got independence from Russian Republic in December 1917 and current prime minister is Sanna Marin
·        Finland’s education system is number one in the world. Finland is ranked as first in happiest land of the world
·        SST is news agency of Finland while SIGINT is finnish secret agency. Name of Parliament of Finland is Eduskunta Riksdagen
Fiji:
·        Fiji (also known as Viti Levu) is small island country in Oceania (South Pacific Ocean). Suva is its capital while Fijian Dollar is its currency. Fijian English and Fijian Hindi are its official languages
·        It got independence from UK in December 1970 (still under Elizabeth II) and current Prime minister is Frank Bainimarama
·        FIS is secret agency while Pacnews is international news agency headquartered in Suva
·        Fiji and Tonga have disputed territory called Minerva Reefs
Gambia:
·        Gambia is a small Muslim’s majority country in Western Africa with an area of approximately 11000 square km. It got independence from UK in February 1965.
·        Dalasi is its official currency. English is official language. Banjul is its seaport and capital.
·        Adama Barrow is current President of Gambia. Gambia was called Islamic Republic of Gambia until Adama Barrow took charge in January 2017. It is the only country after The Bahamas which has “The” in its shorten name i.e. The Gambia.
·        SIS is intelligence while IPS is news agency of the country. Gambia river flows throughout the country. It is smallest country in Africa
Gabon:
·        It is a country in west coast of Central Africa. It got independence from France in August 1960. Official language is French
·        Libreville is its capital. Ali Bongo Ondimba is current President.
·        Central African Franc is its official currency.
