Dear Aspirants: Practicing these exercises keep in mind the grammatical uses. Like you can notice in these exercises that “The” comes before whole but after All. e.g. The whole city, All the cities. And single helping verb (is, was) is used after None and Neither. These are some examples. Notice all these uses. Because these mistakes will be count in English Essay and can reduce your marks. 
Exercise 1
1. Many people gathered there in no time.آنا فانا وہاں بہت سے لوگ جمع ہو گئے
2. The ship sank and many passengers drowned.جہاز ڈوب گیا اور بہت سے لوگ ڈوب گئے
3. Neither of these two brothers knew this secret.ان دونوں بھائیوں میں کوئی بھی یہ راز نہیں جانتا تھا
4. You can take none of these apples.تم ان سیبوں میں سے کوئی بھی نہیں لے سکتے۔
5. There was a crowd of spectators on each side of the road.
سڑک کے دونوں کناروں پر تماشائیوں کا ہجوم تھا۔
6. Neither of these two boys knows his address.ان دونوں لڑکوں میں سے کوئی بھی اس کا پتہ نہیں جانتا
7. Have you peeled all the potatoes?کیا تم نے تمام آلو چھیل لیے ہیں؟
8. Aslam split the whole milk on my clothes.اسلم نے تمام دودھ میرے کپڑوں پر گرا دیا

جو تھوڑا بہت روپیہ اسلم کے پاس تھا وہ اس نے ضائع کر دیا ہے۔

سارے ملک نے مولوی تمیزالدین کی موت کا افسوس کیا۔
16. There were rows of tall trees on both banks of the river.
دریا کے دونوں کناروں پر بلند درختوں کی قطاریں تھیں۔
17. None of all these candidates was eligible for this post.
ان تمام امیدواروں میں سے کوئی بھی اس منصب کا اہل نہ تھا۔
18. Neither of these two brothers is obedient to his parents.
ان دونوں بھائیوں میں سے کوئی بھی والدین کا فرماں بردار نہیں ہے۔
19. Have you any ghee?کیا آپ کے پاس کچھ گھی ہے؟
20. Aslam has not pet hen.اسلم کے پاس کوئی پالتو مرغی نہیں ہے۔
Exercise 2
1. Taxila is the oldest city in Pakistan.پاکستان میں ٹیکسلا سب سے پرانا شہر ہے
2. Is it the oldest tree in this garden?کیا اس باغ میں یہی سب سے پرانا درخت ہے؟
3. The oldest man of our city died yesterday.ہمارے شہر کا سب سے بوڑھا آدمی کل مر گیا
4. It is the oldest building in this city.اس شہر میں یہ سب سے پرانی عمارت ہے
5. The eldest son of that man met with an accident yesterday.
اس آدمی کے سب سے بڑے لڑکے کے ساتھ کل ایک حادثہ پیش آیا۔
6. The eldest son of my uncle is a successful lawyer.
میرے چچا کا سب سے بڑا لڑکا ایک کامیاب وکیل ہے۔

10. The hospital is father than the post office in our city.
ہمارے شہر میں ہسپتال ڈاک خانے کی نسبت زیادہ دور ہے۔
11. Is Karachi farther from Lahore than Multan?کیا لاہور سے کراچی ملتان کی نسبت دور ہے؟
12. My uncle’s house is next to ours.میرے چچا کا مکان ہمارے مکان سے اگلا ہے
13. I cannot go further now.اب میں آگے نہیں جا سکتا
14. Both Naeem and Aslam are class fellows, the latter is a son of the headmaster.
نعیم اور اسلم دونوں ہم جماعت ہیں موخرالذکر ایک ہیڈ ماسٹر کا لڑکا ہے۔
15. Why did you reach later in the meeting than I?
تم میری نسبت جلسے میں دیر سے کیوں پہنچے تھے؟

Exercise 3:
1. They were much astonished to hear the news of my success.
وہ میری کامیابی کی خبر سن کر بہت حیران ہوئے۔
2. I am very pleased to see you.میں آپ سے مل کر بہت ہی خوش ہوا ہوں۔
3. He is rich enough to buy this motor car.وہ اتنا امیر ہے کہ یہ موٹر کار خرید سکتا ہے۔
4. Hafeez is bold enough to say this thing to the headmaster’s face.
حفیظ اتنا نڈر ہے کہ وہ یہ بات ماسٹر صاحب کے منہ پر کہہ سکتا ہے۔
5. I drank much milk today.میں نے آج بہت سا دودھ پیا
6. I am very thankful to you.میں آپ کا بہت شکر گزار ہوں۔
7. Was the passenger very tired?کیا مسافر بہت تھکا ہوا تھا؟
8. This bazaar is too narrow to pass two tongas at a time.
یہ بازار اتنا تنگ ہے کہ اس میں سے دو تانگے بیت وقت نہیں گزر سکتے۔
9. This boy is too fat to pass through this door.
یہ لڑکا اتنا موٹا ہے کہ اس دروازے میں سے نہیں گزر سکتا۔
10. Aslam is too clever to be taken in by anybody.اسلم اتنا چالاک ہے کہ کسی سے دھوکا نہیں کھا سکتا
11. I am too satisfied to eat more.میں اتنا سیر ہوں کہ اور نہیں کھا سکتا
12. We expected little for the guests to come today.ہمئیں آج مہمانوں کے آنے کی توقع بہت کم تھی
13. I am feeling a little headache.مجھے سر میں تھوڑا سا درد ہو رہا ہے

General Knowledge
Topic: Five Countries
Cambodia:
·        Cambodia, officially the Kingdom of Cambodia, is the 72nd most populous country in the world. It is a sovereign state located in the southern portion of the Indochina peninsula in Southeast Asia. It has an area of 181,035 sq km. Its capital and largest city is Phnom Penh. Khmer is the official language of Cambodia. The Riel (KHR) is the currency of Cambodia. People living in Cambodia are called Cambodian or Khmer. It has three bordering countries that include Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos.
·        Theravada Buddhism is the official religion of Cambodia which is also practiced in Sri Lanka, Thailand and Laos. Old name of Cambodia was Kampuchea
·        US also bombed Cambodia from 1963 to 1973 during Vietnam war. Resultantly, Khmer Rouge were made who were against US and supported by Vietnam. In this conflict almost 300000 people were killed
·        It got independence from France in November 1953 and Current King is Norodom Sihamoni. Prime minister of Cambodia is Hun Sen (World’s youngest head of the state at the age of 32 years and first prime minister of Cambodia)
·        World’s largest religious monument is located in Cambodia called Angkor Wat which has an area of 162.6 Hectare
·        AKP is the news agency of Cambodia and its population is 16.25 million
Cameroon:
·        Cameroon, officially the Republic of Cameroon, is a country in Central Africa. It has a total area of 475,440 square km and Population is25500000 approx.. Yaounde is its capital Yaoundé and Douala is its largest city. English and French are its official languages. Central African Franc is its official currency. Its land bordering countries are Nigeria, Chad, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and the Republic of the Congo.
·        It got independence from France in January 1960 and current president is Paul Biya(The only president having tenure more than 37 years as he is president since 1982). It has coastline with Atlantic Ocean.
·        It is one of the wettest place on the earth because country received a plenty of rainfall every year.
·        It is also an oil exporter country and has also plenty of natural gas reserves
·        Sanga river is the longest river in the country. Before World War I it was known as Kamerun
·        The united republic of Cameroon (1972) was named as Republic of Cameroon in 1984. It is the second most dangerous country of the world
Canada:
·        Canada is a country in the northern part of North America. With an area of 9,984,670 square km, it is the world’s second-largest country by total area. Canada has population of 37900000 approx. Ottawa is its capital and Toronto is its largest city. English and French are its official languages. The Canadian dollar ($) (CAD) is its official currency. The United States is its only land bordering country, with which it has the world’s largest land border. It is a sparsely populated country. The people identified with Canada are called Canadians. The country has immigrants from many countries, which make it one of the world’s most multicultural and ethnically diverse nations.
·        America tried two times to invade but in vain. It got independence from UK in 1867 but in 1931 statute of westminister was imposed in Canada by UK. Canada became fully sovereign state in 1982 by Patriation. Justin Trudeau is current Prime minister while Elizabeth II is Queen
·        Islam is the second largest religion in Canada after Christianity
·        Maple leaf is the national symbol of Canada. CSIS is the intelligence agency of Canada
·        Niagara falls on Niagara river which comes from Canada to US is located at the border of Canada and US (New York State).
·        Mckenzie  is the longest river in Canada. Canada has the longest coastline in the world. Canada is world’s largest Uranium producer
·        Canada has 31700 lakes (almost half of the total lakes in the world).
·        Canada’s biggest bay is Hudson Bay but Fundi Bay located in Eastern Canada has highest tides in the world almost 30m in height.
Chad:
·        Chad is a central African country with an area of 1284000 Km2 and population of 11400000 approx.
·        Central African Franc is official Currency and Arabic and French are official languages. D’Djamena is capital of the country.
·        It got independence from France in August 1960 and Current President is Idriss Deby
·        ANS is intelligence while CAJ is news agency. The only Television station Tele-TChad is under government main source of coverage is Radio
·        Almost 33% land area of Chad is covered by the larges desert of the world Sahara. The country has long lasting conflict between Muslims and Christians
·        Chad is also known as the Babel tower of the world and Dead heart of Africa
Central African Republic:
·        It is a landlocked country in Central Africa with an area of 622984 Km2 with a population of 4700000 approx. It shares borders with DRC, Congo, Chad, Sudan, South Sudan and Cameroon.
·        It got independence from France in August 1960 and empire was established in 1976 but republic was retained in 1979.
·        Its capital is Bangui and currency is Central African Franc. Official languages are French and Sango
·        Its former name was Ubangi-Shari when it was French colony. GIBAFOR is secret while ACAP is news agency of CAR
