Exercise 1
One day Newton was sitting in his
garden. There was an apple tree in front of him. By chance an apple fell before
him from a tree. Suddenly Newton hit upon an idea. He said to himself, “Why as
this apple fallen on the earth, and not flown to the sky?” At last, he came to
the conclusion after great thinking, that the earth pulls everything towards
itself. He also discovered that not only the earth had the apple towards itself
but also the apple had pulled the earth. It was a wonderful discovery in the
world of science which brought about a revolution.

trees.” The firs asked the third, “Tell me what is your opinion?” He said, “There

themselves.”
Exercise 3
