خشکی سے گھرا ملک(Landlocked Countries) :

دنیا میں کچھ ایسے ممالک بھی ہیں جن کو سمندر نہیں لگتا ۔ ان کے چاروں طرف کوئی نہ کوئی ملک ہوتا ہے ۔ ان کو لینڈ لاکڈ کنٹری کہتے ہیں۔ مثال کے طور پر ہمارا ہمسایہ ملک افغانستان ایک خشکی سے گھرا ملک ہے۔دنیا کا سب سے بڑا لینڈ لاکڈ ملک قازقستان ہے۔ سرگرمی: گوگل میپ کھول کر زمین کے نقشے میں سے قازقستان تلاش کریں۔ ہنٹ: قازقستان نامی ملک روس کے جنوب میں واقع ہے۔

دنیا میں کل 49ملک لینڈ لاکڈ ہیں۔ دنیا کے دو ملک ایسے ہیں جو ڈبل لینڈ لاکڈ ہیں یعنی ان کو تو سمندر لگتا ہی نہیں ساتھ ساتھ ان کے ہمسایہ ممالک کو بھی سمندر نہیں لگتا ۔ وہ ازبکستان اور لیچ ٹینسٹین ہیں۔

بحیرہ یا چھوٹا سمندر(Seas)

دنیا میں پانچ بڑے سمندر ہیں جن کے نام ہم پہلے لیکچر میں پڑھ چکے ہیں ان سمندروں کی بھی ہم نے علاقے کے لحاظ سے تقسیم کر رکھی ہے۔ مثلا بحر ہند جہاں سے عرب کو لگتا ہے اسے ہم بحیرہ عرب یعنی عریبین سی کہتے ہیں۔ یہ در حقیقت ان بڑے سمندروں کے ہی چھوٹے چھوٹے حصے ہوتے ہیں جو کسی خاص علاقے کے ساتھ لگنے کی وجہ سے جانے جاتے ہیں ۔ مثلا دنیا کے سب سے بڑے سمندر بحر الکاہل کا جو حصہ چین کے مشرق کی طرف لگتا ہے اسے ایسٹ چائنہ سی یعنی مشرقی بحیرہ چین کہا جاتا ہے ۔ اسی طرح اس کا جو حصہ چین کے جنوب کو لگتا ہے اسے جنوبی چین کا سمندر یا ساؤتھ چائنہ سی کہتے ہیں ۔ جو جاپان کو لگتا ہے اسے جاپان سی کہتے ہیں۔ دنیا کا سب سے بڑا "سی" یعنی بحیرہ فلپائن سی ہے جو ایک ملک فلپائن کو لگتا ہے ۔فلپائن ملک بھی جزیروں پر مشتمل ہے۔اس کے علاوہ دنیا کے چند مشہور "سی" یہ ہیں۔بحیرہ روم یعنی ہے جو بر اعظم یورپ اور افریقہ کو جدا کرتا ہے ۔ سرگرمی : گوگل میپ میں سے بحیرہ روم تلاش کریں ۔ اور بتائیں ترکی بحیرہ روم کے کس طرٖف ہے؟

اس کے علاوہ بحیرہ اسود یعنی بلیک سی بھی ہے ۔ یہ ترکی کے شمال کی طرف واقع ہے ۔ ساؤتھ چائنہ سی جس کا اوپر ذکر کیا گیا ہے یہ دنیا کا سب سےزیادہ متنازع علاقہ ہے کیوں کہ اس سمندر پر تقریبا نو ملک اپنا حق جتاتے ہیں لیکن زیادہ تر قبضہ چین کے پاس ہے۔۔۔۔ جاری ہے///

جزیرہ(Island) :

جیسا کہ ہم پہلے پڑھ چکے ہیں کہ ہماری زمین کی سطح پر پانی ہی پانی ہے ۔ اس پانی پر جگہ جگہ چھوٹے چھوٹے خشکی کے ٹکڑے بھی موجود ہیں ۔ وہ خشکی کے ٹکڑے جس کے چاروں طرف پانی یعنی سمندر ہی ہو اسے جزیرہ کہتے ہیں۔ پاکستان جزیرہ نہیں ہے کیونکہ پاکستان کے صرف ایک طرف سمندر ہے باقی تین طرف کوئی نہ کوئی ملک موجود ہے ۔ سری لنکا ایک جزیرہ ہے کیونکہ سری لنکا کے چاروں طرف سمندر ہی سمندر ہے۔ سرگرمی: گوگل میپ میں سے سری لنکا کو تلاش کریں۔ ہنٹ: سری لنکا انڈیا کے جنوب یعنی نیچے کی طرف واقع ہے۔

ہماری زمین کا سب سے بڑا جزیرہ گرین لینڈ ہے جو اس وقت ڈنمارک کے ماتحت ہے۔ انڈونیشیا ایک ایسا ملک ہے جو سب سے زیادہ جزیروں پر مشتمل ہے ۔انڈونیشیا تقریبا سترہ ہزار جزیروں پر مشتمل ایک اسلامی ملک ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ پاکستان کے پاس بھی سات جزیرےہیں جو پاکستان کے ساتھ لگنے والے سمندر میں موجود ہیں۔پاکستان کا سب سے بڑا جزیرہ اسٹولا ہے۔ جاپان ، برطانیہ، آسٹریلیا، نیوزی لینڈ، اور آئس لینڈ دنیا کے چند مشہور ملک ہیں جو جزیروں پر مشتمل ہیں یعنی ان ممالک کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے ملک کا زمینی رابطہ نہیں ان کے چاروں طرف سمندر ہی سمندر ہے۔

جزیرہ نما: (Peninsula)

دنیا میں کچھ ایسی جگہیں بھی ہیں جن کو تین طرف سے تو سمندر لگتا ہے لیکن ایک طرف سے کوئی خشکی کا حصہ لگتا ہے انہیں جزیرہ نما یا انگلش میں پیننسولا کہتے ہیں۔ دنیا کا سب سے بڑا جزیرہ نما عرب ہے ۔ اس کے علاوہ ترکی بھی جزیرہ نما ہے جسے اناٹولین پیننسولا کہا جاتا ہے ۔ سرگرمی: دنیا کے نقشے میں سے جزیرہ نما کوریا کو دریافت کریں۔ ہنٹ: کوریا چین کے مشرق کی طرف یعنی دائیں جانب واقع ہے۔

دنیا کے چند مشہور جزیرہ نما یہ ہیں۔ فلوریڈا جزیرہ نما امریکہ کی ایک ریاست ہے جس کو تین طرف سے سمندر لگتا ہے ۔ باجا کیلیفورنیا جزیرہ نما یہ میکسیکو کی ریاست ہے۔ الاسکا جزیرہ نما یہ بھی امریکہ کی ریاست ہے۔ بلقان جزیرہ نما یہ براعظم یورپ میں موجود چند ملک ہیں۔ انڈین جزیرہ نما یہ بھارت کے جنوب یعنی نیچے طرف کا علاقہ ہے جسے تین طرف سے سمندر لگتا ہے ۔ اسی طرح ملائیشیا ایک ایسا ملک ہے جو جزیرہ نما ہے۔ آئیبرین جزیرہ نما سپین اور پرتگال کو کہا جاتا ہے کیونکہ ان دونوں ہمسایہ ممالک کو ملا کر ایک علاقہ بنتا ہے جسے تین طرف سے سمندر لگتا ہے ایک طرف سے فرانس۔۔۔۔ جاری ہے/////

LECTURE-I

اگرہم کہیں کہ ہماری زمین پانی والا سیارہ ہے تو یہ غلط نہ ہو گا۔ ہماری زمین کی سطح پر پانی ہی پانی ہے ۔صرف 29فیصد حصہ پر خشکی کے حصے موجود ہیں جبکہ 71 فیصد حصے پر پانی موجود ہے۔زمین کی سطح پر پانی کے اوپر کچھ خشکی کے بڑے بڑے ٹکڑے ہیں جن پر انسان رہتے ہیں۔زمین کی سطح پر موجود پانی کو ہم پانچ بڑے حصوں میں تقسیم کرتے ہیں جنہیں سمندر کہتے ہیں ۔ زمین کے پانچ بڑے سمندر درج ذیل ہیں:

(Pacific Ocean) بحر الکاہل

(Atlantic Ocean) بحر اوقیانوس

(Indian Ocean)بحر ہند

(Southern Ocean) بحر منجمد جنوبی

(Arctic Oceanبحر منجمد شمالی (

گوگل میپ یا کہیں سے بھی دنیا کا نقشہ حاصل کریں۔ یہ بات ذہن نشین کر لیں کہ نقشہ کا اوپر والا حصہ شمال کی طرف کو ظاہر کرتا ہے ۔ اب آپ میپ کھولیں تو آپ کو اندازہ ہو گیا ہو گا کہ روس یعنی رشیا شمال کی طرف ہے۔ شمال کے بالکل مخالف طرف یعنی میپ کے نیچے والے حصے کو جنوب کہتے ہیں ۔ اسی طرح آپ میپ میں دیکھیں گے کہ آسٹریلیا اور انٹارکٹیکا جنوب کی طرف واقع ہیں۔ شمال کے دائیں طرف مشرق ہوتا ہے ۔جبکہ بائیں طرف مغرب۔۔۔۔ میپ دیکھیں اور سوچیں کہ پاکستان مشرق میں ہیں یا مغرب۔۔۔ شمال کی طرف زیادہ ہے یا جنوب کی طرف۔۔۔

اب آپ پاکستان کو میپ میں زوم کریں اور بتائیں کہ پاکستان کے شمال میں کون سے ممالک ہیں(یعنی پاکستان کے اوپر کی طرف) پاکستان کے مشرق کی طرف کون سا ملک ہے (یعنی دائیں طرف) پاکستان کے جنوب کی طرف کیا ہے (یعنی نیچے کی طرف) اور پاکستان کے مغرب کی طرف کون سے ممالک ہیں؟(یعنی بائیں طرف)

ان پانچ بڑے سمندروں کے اوپر جہاں آپ کو خشکی کے بڑے بڑے ٹکڑے نظر آرہے ہیں ان کو بر اعظم کہتے ہیں ۔ بر کا مطلب خشکی جبکہ اعظم کا مطلب سب سے بڑا ہے۔ براعظم کا مطلب خشکی کے بڑے ٹکڑے۔۔۔۔ وہ تعداد میں چھ ہیں۔ آپ غور کریں جس خشکی کے حصے پر پاکستان ہے اسی خشکی کے حصے کے اوپر والی سائیڈ پر روس موجود ہے روس کے بائیں طرف بہت سے ممالک ہیں ۔ ماہر جغرافیہ دانوں نے اس خشکی کی بڑے حصوں کو بھی دو حصوں میں تقسیم کر دیا ہے حالانکہ یہ دونوں حصے آپس میں ملے ہوئے ہیں۔ ایک کانام ایشیا رکھ دیا ہے جبکہ روس میں ایک پہاڑی سلسلہ ہے جس کا نام اڑل پہاڑی سلسلہ ہے اس کے آگے والے حصہ کو پرتگال تک یورپ کہتے ہیں۔کل ملا کر اس حصے کو یوریشین کہتے ہیں۔

اس کے علاوہ دنیا میں جو براعظم موجود ہیں وہ براعظم افریقہ ، براعظم شمالی امریکہ یعنی نارتھ امریکہ اور براعظم جنوبی امریکہ یعنی ساؤتھ امریکہ ہے۔ سب سے چھوٹا براعظم آسٹریلیا ہے۔ ان کے علاوہ ایک غیر آباد براعظم بھی ہے جہاں کوئی بندہ نہیں رہتا کیونکہ وہاں انتہا کی سردی پڑتی ہے۔ اس کا نام انٹارکٹیکا ہے ۔یہ دنیا

کے نقشے میں جنوب کی طرف واقع ہے یعنی نیچے کی طرف ۔۔۔۔جاری ہے۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔

آپ کے کامیاب ہونے کا کتنا چانس ہے یہ اس چیز پر بھی منحصر ہے کہ آپ نے وہ راستہ کیوں چنا؟؟ وہ کیا ٹریگر تھا کیا کک تھی جس نے آپ کو مجبور کیا کہ آپ اس ہدف کی طرف جاءیں۔ میں نے لاہور کی ٹاپ کی سی ایس ایس اور پی ایم ایس کروانے والی اکیڈمیز کے سیمینارز اٹینڈ کیے۔ انہوں نے کچھ صاحب اور صاحبہ بلا رکھے تھے جو اس وقت سی ایس پی تھے۔ میں یقین کریں کوءی دو گھنٹے انکی فضول گفتگو سنتا رہا۔ موصوف اور موصوفہ فرما رہے تھے کہ سی ایس ایس یا پی ایم ایس کے ثمرات یہ ہیں کہ آپ اپنے بچوں کو مہنگے سکولوں میں پڑھوا سکتے ہیں۔ مہنگی گاڑی ہوگی بنگلہ ہوگا اتھارٹی ہوگی۔ میں دو گھنٹے یہ فضول گفتگو سنتا رہا اور واپسی پر خود کو کوستا رہا کہ یار میں اس ٹریگر کے ساتھ سی ایس ایس یا پی ایم ایس شروع کروں جو یہ دے رہے ہیں تواس سے بہتر نہیں کہ کوءی بزنس شروع کردوں۔ 

یاد رکھیں سب سے پہلے اپنا گول واضح کریں اور ٹریگر ایکٹو رکھیں۔ اس عوام کا سوچیں جو ستر سال سے اشرافیہ سے پس رہی ہے۔ سانحہ ساہیوال، ماڈل ٹاون اور اے پی ایس کو مد نظر رکھیں۔ ملک و قوم کی خدمت کا وژن بناءیں۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا طاقتور مومن کمزور مومن سے بہتر ہے۔ تو کیوں نہ ہم اتھارٹی کے حصول کی کوشش اس لیے کریں اس طرح ہم ملک و قوم کی خدمت زیادہ بہتر طریقے سے کر سکیں گے۔ اس طرح محنت کے دوران ثواب بھی ملے گا اور اللہ پھل بھی دے گا۔ جب کبھی مورال ڈاون ہونے لگے پسے ہوءے طبقے کی ڈاکیومینٹریز دیکھیں آرٹیکلز پڑھیں۔ 

جب گول واضح ہو جاءے پھر شیڈول کے تحت محنت کریں۔ سقراط سے اس کے شاگرد نے پوچھا کہ استاد ہمیں اپنا ہدف پانے کے لیے کتنی محنت کرنی چاہیے۔ سقراط اسے اگلے دن دریا میں لے گیا اور یکدم اس کا سر پانی میں ڈبو دیا وہ لگا ہاتھ پیر مارنے۔ جب اس کا سانس پھولنے لگا تو سقراط نے چھوڑ دیا اور پوچھا ہاں بھءی اس وقت تمہیں سب سے زیادہ عزیز چیز کونسی تھی جس کے لیے اتنے ہاتھ پاوں مار رہے تھے تو اس نے جواب دیا کہ جناب ہوا۔ تو سقراط نے کہا اسی طرح زندگی میں مقصد کے حصول کے لیے جد و جہد کرو کامیاب ہو جاو گے۔ مثالیں ہمارے سامنے ہیں۔ کس طرح ایک یتیم عرب کے چرواہے نے سوچا کہ معاشرے کی سمت غلط ہے اسے بدلنا تو پوری دنیا کا رخ بدل کر رکھ دیا اور سرور کاءنات صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بن کر ابھرے اور ادھر سے ادھر پھر گیا رخ ہوا کا۔ لیکن اس کے لیے کتنی محنت کی میں اور آپ سب جانتے ہیں۔ قاءداعظم کس طرح دنیا کی تاریخ میں پہلی مرتبہ ایک قوم کو دو قوموں سے آزادی دلواءی ہندو اور انگریز۔ انکے بھی ٹریگر کیا تھے؟؟؟ انسانیت کا درد۔ اور یاد رکھیں یہ سب سے بڑا ٹریگر ہوتا ہے۔ یہ نیندیں اڑا دیتا ہے۔ باقی اللہ تعالی مجھے اور آپ کو ہدایت دے اور جو ہمارے حق میں بہتر ہے ہماری محنت کا صلہ دے۔ خوب محنت کریں کیونکہ

How to Prepare For CSS/PMS English Essay

English Essay:

English Essay is considered as the most difficult compulsory subject of CSS. But every problem has a solution and if problem is bigger then follow “Divide and Control Rule”. It means divide your problem into smaller parts and then take control on each part. To write an essay we need two things: 1) Material 2) Way to Write. Material is further divided into two things: i) Vocabulary ii) Content. Way to write is also divided into two branches: i) Grammar ii) Structure of an essay. Now, you have to cover these four smaller problems. Here are some techniques to cover up.

1. (i) Vocabulary: Vocabulary for English essay will be increased while preparing for English Precise and Composition as for that subject you have to memorize at least 500 idioms, 500 synonyms/antonyms, 500 pair of words etc. Moreover, when you will read an article daily, you will automatically learn new words. To memorize completely these words, make sure to write your diary on daily basis in English language using the words you learnt earlier.

1. (ii) Content: Content means knowledge about the topics that will be given to write essay. Mostly your content will be increased during preparation of Pakistan Affairs, Current Affairs, General Science and Optional subjects.

2. (i) Grammar: Grammar is much important for writing an essay. This part will also be covered during preparation of English Precise Paper. Take a well known grammar book like Wren N. Martin or Imtiazi English Translation for practice. I have mentioned exercises of Imtiazi English Translation in the schedule. It is because it will make you able for various things like Direct Indirect, Active/Passive Voice, Translation of a Passage, Uses, Correction of sentences etc.

2. (ii) Structure of an Essay: Structure includes outlines, introduction, conclusion etc. For that purpose read essays that have been written by Toppers and take instructions from a mentor.

Instructions

The purpose of making this schedule is to help those aspirants who are not able to pay heavy dues of Academies. When an aspirant starts his study, generally, he has no road map to follow. Most people tell him to study everything to Qualify exam. But this is a myth. The reality is that FPSC publishes syllabus of each subject. Mostly beginners has no direction and do not know what to do! To overcome their problem we have made a schedule of six months study plan. A moderate learner can easily cover each day syllabus in 5 to 6 hours.

An Introduction to CSS:

CSS (Civil Superior Services) exam is a competitive exam held every year under FPSC near February. Applications are submitted in the last of October. It is held for job recruitment of BPS-17 scale in 12departments of Governments of Pakistan. CSS Exam has total number 1500. Written Exam is of 1200 Marks. 300 Marks are reserved for Viva Voce (Interview). Every Graduate can apply for it having age between 21-28 Years (somewhat relaxation for Govt. Employees)

Written Exam of 1200 is further divided into two Subjects i.e. Compulsory and Optional. Compulsory Subjects are English Essay, English Precise and Composition, Islamiyat Compulsory, General Science & Ability, Current Affairs and Pakistan Affairs. Every Compulsory subject carries 100 Marks and Passing Marks is 40. But in General Science & Ability, Current Affairs and Pakistan Affairs if you collectively obtain 120 out of 300, then you will be considered successful. Syllabus of Each Subject published by FPSC is given at the end of the document.

Optional Subjects carry remaining 600 marks. You have to choose different subjects from different groups. From each group of subjects, you have to choose one subjects. A subject is selected by aspirant which carries 200 Marks. Remember Aspirants: Always choose those subjects which have short syllabus and have high percentage of marks gainers. Also choose those subjects which correlate with each other so that you may not study of diverse objects. Consult with an expert if you face difficulty in subject selection because usually Optional Subjects give marks and make merit.

About the Schedule

· This schedule comprises of six months from June to December

· To cover one day syllabus, almost 5 to 6 hours will be consumed

· Sunday has been left as Revision Day (Revise previous week syllabus)

· Each day syllabus consists of one compulsory subject with one optional subject. English will be prepared on daily basis.

· Remember Aspirant: Read an article daily and choose one book (which correlates with your study) to read in spare time.

· Topics named in schedule of every subject have been mentioned in the last of the document.

· Only four optional subjects have been mentioned in the schedule. I have mentioned earlier that an optional subject carrying 200 marks will accord to your previous education like I have done my masters in Mathematics so, I am to choose Mathematics as an optional subjects carrying 200 marks and I can prepare this subject with a little bit effort.

· Work wisely. Attach that optional subject with Islamiyat which you consider difficult.

· Almost 45 days have been marked as free days for different reasons like illness, functions in family, revision, to cover up the deficiency, for rest etc.

· After two months, test yourself. The method is that pick past papers of CSS and attempt all those questions which have been asked and you have prepared.

· Exams are expected in February. So test yourself in last 40 to 50 days remaining.

Now some techniques and advices are given for each compulsory subject. Read it carefully before following the schedule.

English Essay:

2. (ii) Structure of an Essay: Structure includes outlines, introduction, conclusion etc. For that purpose read essays that have been written by Toppers and take instructions from a mentor. Seven lectures on Structure of Essay with outlines written by toppers are available on our Youtube channel “Brainiacs Educationists”. Essays written by toppers will be available on our blog from 20^th May 2020. Many guidelines and helping material is available on our blog and channel.

English Precise and Composition:

Syllabus of this subject is given at the end of the document with other compulsory subjects’ syllabi. In the schedule where there is written, “practice precise, comprehension or translation” it means that practice these things from PMS or CSS past papers or from a well known graduate level English keybook.

Pakistan and Current Affairs:

Current affairs includes 60% syllabus of Pakistan Affairs. I have left 5 topics of current affairs on your choice. It is because I don’t know what will happen in next 6 months. So, read articles carefully, watch documentaries and beware of everything in the world.

General Science & Ability:

General Science & Ability paper has two parts. One is about General Science and other is about analytical reasoning. Analytical portion will be covered within a month but with the help of a mentor who has grip on mathematics. Other part’s questions will be about Environmental Science, Computer, Biology, Astronomy etc. Remember: Don’t be panic. If you have not read Computer or Biology ever, then choose one subject from both and prepare it well accord to given syllabus.

Islamiyat Compulsory:

If you know all the things happened in the lifetime of Rasoolullah (S.A.W) then it is well and good. If not, then first read it. Memorize at least 5 Quranic verses, 5 Ahadees, and 3 Ash’ar for each topic. It will decorate your question and will make a good image of you.
